Presentation of the capabilities that DOVO possesses in the context of the support the Unit provides to the Nation. These capabilities include:

• CMD: Conventional Munition Disposal – The ability to handle munitions from both World Wars that are still present on Belgian territory and in territorial waters. This includes identifying the munitions, neutralizing them on-site, preparing them for transport, and ultimately destroying them. This applies to munitions containing explosive, incendiary, or toxic charges.
  DOVO has the resources to carry out these tasks both routinely (non-urgent) and urgently (high-priority).
• IEDD: Improvised Explosive Ordnance Disposal – The ability to assist the police and judicial authorities in combating terrorism and serious organized crime. This capability enables DOVO to neutralize or destroy improvised devices. Additionally, DOVO is designated as the custodian of explosive devices or related evidence.
