Crowd control — from first entry to full overview

A safe and smooth flow of people begins long before the first visitor arrives. EventWifi thinks through the entire journey — from the layout of the access zone to real-time monitoring from the control room.

It starts with clear signage that guides and informs visitors from the moment they arrive. At the entrance, professional walk-through metal detection gates handle screening: divided into 16 zones, they immediately display on screen at which height a person is carrying metal, enabling targeted searches and avoiding unnecessary delays. At the same time, each gate automatically counts the number of people passing through in both directions — figures are displayed live so that all gate personnel have an instant overview of the current situation.

Those counts are not only visible at the gate. Through people counting, flows per zone, per entrance and per time slot are brought together in one central overview. That overview streams in real time to the CP OPS, where safety coordinators have an accurate picture of site occupancy at every moment. Camera footage, metal detection data, crowd counts and alerts all converge on a single dashboard — enabling rapid and targeted intervention when needed.

Communication between teams runs via EventWifi's own VOIP network, independent of public telecom infrastructure and therefore stable even at the busiest moments. Everyone — from the entry team to the safety coordinator — stays connected and informed.
